Weekend Talk

So lets see... Friday, I worked.. Saturday.. We went car shopping & Actually came home w/our new car :) :) :) :) Friday, Lucas was looking in the paper & found an ad about a 2004 4runner-Which is what we've been looking at. We had been to 2 different car lots trying to buy a 4runner. The first place wouldn't work with us on the price & on the next day the car salesmen pretty much hung-up on Lucas (Needless to say, we wont go there ever again!!), the next car lot, had a 4runner we both really liked.. they wouldn't work w/us on the price--then 2-3wks later, then had marked down the price & we went to go talk numbers and they sold it. It sucked. Lucas told me not to get my hopes up (once again) and we were just going to test drive it & see what we could do. Welp, only being there 3hrs we walked out with a new car! :) I love it. Leather, 3d row (which comes out!!), 4WD.... Its purdy :) It was sad to see the Impala go. It was MY first car. But, once I got into the 4runner w/working heat--I didn't miss it anymore :) :) Sunday.. I went w/TJ & his GFriend to church (FINALLY...WINE!!!) TJ was being introduced as a 'new member' so I went to support him. They really like him there at the church. Afterwords, I went back to his house for a bit-then head out.. I asked Lucas to put in the car seat, I wanted it to be behind the passanger seat--but it looked too... squishy.. So, we are going to put it in the middle (Its okay to do this!)! Lucas also started on the dresser. I couldn't help--the fumes were too much for me.. So I supervised :) before.. during & after.. the after isn't a very good picture. As soon as it gets into the babys room, I'll post some more pics. We are waiting to find out the sex of the baby before we doing anything w/the drawes. So, In the mean time--they are going to stay the same (sanded down) w/clothes in them!!

On Monday, Sister & I took Grandma & Brother out to lunch for the BDays. (Grandmas was Sunday, TJs was Monday).. They liked their gifts. :) Then I told tem what the Drs had called and told me about that morning...

When you are pregnant, usually you only have to take the Diabetes test once--well, at my Drs they took it twice. Once @26wks (ish) & once @36wks (ish). Well, I passed the first time, NO problems. This second time, I failed. I didn't think much about it--I told the nurse "well, this sucks" and now I have to take a 3hr test on Wednesday.. Not too mention, I was already going to be there for another ultrasound (remember, my fluids were low...) and see what the Dr had said. After finally sitting down & thinking it over.. I flipped out. When Lucas came home I was balling... Its one thing to find out if you have Diabetes early in pregnancy-then we can control it.. but to find out, in my last stretch of the ball game, that I have it? UGH!! I am being induced in 2wks, I mean-what the heck people!! Hopefully I will find the results quicker this time, then I did last week... Hopefully I will pass the 3hr test!

With Diabetes in my head & this low fluid thing (not to mention, he/she is measuring 'small'...) .. I have a bag packed for me & the baby. I also have one for Lucas... Just in case I get to the Drs tomorrow & we have to have the baby right then & there. Lucas isn't coming with me- I told him not to, it'd be silly. He only works (literally) 3mins away from the hospital & his boss/co-workers know how far along I am & all that good stuff.

I still can't believe this baby will be here in 2 weeks. TWO WEEKS. Wow. That's nuts :)

Also, We got our maternity pics back! They look amazing! Iwish there were some more of us smiling--but thats okay! I can't wait to see what she does for the baby!!!!

**Eviction Notice**

Welp, Dec 23rd @12:05AM (thanks insurance!!) Lucas & I will be at the hosptial getting ready to INDUCE and bring this baby into the world... Holy Crap. ;) Went to the Dr's today. I had to take another GB (diabetes) test. It was lovely-NOT! I wanted to throw up after I took that nasty drink (its nothing but PURE SUGAR)!! After you take this drink you have to wait 1hr & then they take your blood work. While waiting in that 1 hr, we had an ultrasound done to see how big this baby is. To my surprise, the Tech said he/she was only (roughly) 5lb 8oz & is measuring small, but nothing to worry about. She also told us the baby was head down (yippeee) & everything looked okay. After the u/s, we waited about 15mins in the waiting room & Dr M was ready to see us. I had to get tested to GBS (which everyone does) & while he was 'down there' he was checking to see how far I was coming along. Welp, I am 1 cm dialated (yay!!), but my fluids were low. He wasn't too concerned about it, but he did tell me I needed to start drinking more fluids & rest more often (rest? seriously? what a funny man!). He also confirmed that we will be inducing on Dec. 23rd and for me to talk to the lady and get all the paperwork filled out. Sitting there, waiting on the nurse (for paper work) it really hit me that this THING growing inside of me is coming out in 3 WEEKS. I mean, I knew there was a chance of he/she coming then--but the fact she was on the phone trying to squeeze me in & telling me what to do--it hit me!! So, the plan is.. Going in @12:05a on Dec 23rd, have this kid (hopefully) sometime that day & ALL OF US coming home on Christmas Day :) :) :) :) :) I am very excited about coming home on CHRISTMAS with a new baby!! It's going to be a while day, thats for sure!!!! My Mom told me today she has found the cutest Christmas outfit for the baby (YAY!)!! She won't tell me what it is, but I have no fear that it WONT be cute!! Can't wait to see it!!! I have seen so many cute outfits....... So, that's one thing I dont have to worry about--My mom has it covered ;) I go to the Dr weekly now (I'll be 36wks tomorrow--Eviction Day, I'll be 39wks). Next week we will have another u/s done & he will be checking to see if I have progressed anymore!!

Dr say Whaaaa?

Today has been the craziest day I've had in a while. I had all sorts of plans to go running around w/my sister (we usually hang out on Mondays or Wednesdays-depending on my work schedule...). Todays agenda was to 1-Drs Appt & then 2-Bristol, TN to go look for a car. Sounds like fun, right? NOT....

We are going through a terrible time w/the first venue where we were going to hold our wedding. LONG story short.. They told us they'd give us our money back. Well, guess what--they never have. After talking w/them for 2-3 months, the MAN TOLD US HE PUT THE MONEY IN THE MAILBOX... Welp, never got it. I sent a letter to them, advising them we were going to take them to court, hoping they would just send the money. WRONG. They sent another letter back--and needless to say, I was NOT happy about it. AT. ALL. (The letter was ugly.. no name calling or anything-just UGLY!) It's seriously a huge mess. I just don't understand why they wont give us our money back.. It honest to god would not put a DENT in their in-come. But, whatever-we will do what is necessary.

So, anyways, after going to the Post Office & recieving that wonderful news--I went to the Dr. I knew my Blood Pressure was going to be through the roof (from being so upset). FINALLY-Some good news :) Still under 150lbs *YAY*, I'm measuring about right.. & the kicker- Dr M said if everything was on track & looked good, we were having this Baby on Dec 23!! HOLY CRAP! I couldn't believe my ears!! Now, Im not going to lie--I was really hoping for the 21st/22nd--that way we could all 3 be home for Christmas.. But, then again-this baby may decide to come out after Thanksgiving, or Afer my brothers BDay (Dec 5th). Dr M had some very encouraging words--This is why I love this man. I hope he never quits--at least, until Im done making babies ;) Next appt I will be 36wks. I have to take another Diabetes test (I get to drink this delicious {not} orange drink & hang out at the Drs office for a hour!!), we also get an ultrasound. I can't wait to see our monster :)

So, after the Drs office-Sister & I were going to have lunch & start our road trip to Bristol, to look at a vehicle. I don't mind road trips-and I know she doesn't either. What I do mind? The freakin' rain. Needless to say, I can't trust my car when it rains--My windshield wipers have a mind of there own.. Meridith and I were once stranded on the side of the interstate one rainy night (3yrs ago..) b/c of those stupid things--Here I was crying to AAA on the side of the road & my 18yr old sister was out there fixing it. Thank God for her!! :) Well, since it started to rain like there was no tomorrow-we decided to hold off on our trip until Monday. Meridith just found out she got the traning job w/Conners in Florida!! I am so proud of her! She deserves this-she works her butt off!! :) Thankfully she will be leaving at the end of Jan-begining of Feb--so there will be plenty of time for her to hang out with her new niece/nephew!!!!! :)

Oh, Did I mention it isn't even 3:30 yet? What a day. I guess we all have them. Mine just happened to be today. The weekend looks to be nice, I want to do like 1,000,000,000 things this weekend & I keep changing plans on Lucas. Poor guy. I wanted to go to Gatlinburg... then I wanted to stay home & paint.. then I wanted to go to Cleveland, TN to look at a car.. Now possibly Bristol, TN.. I am just all over the place. I think I am in panic mode. I mean, now we may have this baby in 5wks. F I V E WEEKS. {Gosh. That's nuts.} I know we will get it done-we always do.. :)

Have I mentioned how awesome Lucas is? He is awesomely-amazing :)

I was unable to go to a friends wedding yesterday (Saturday) bc I got sick. <<--Seems to be a weekend thing now (not feeling well..)! Anyway, Lucas surprised me w/a Travel System :) Here is the professional picture of it::

The travel system consists of a stroller, an infant carrier AND a base for the car. We knew what one we wanted- We just havent been able to find the color we wanted in person, we found it on line at many places!! -The Color is called Midori- I was so excited when we got it home & Lucas put it together.. It's AMAZING!! Now, Here are MY pictures of the finished product::

I love it. I am so excited. I bought an extra base for the carrier months ago on-line! So, now we have 2 bases (which is exactly how many we needed)!!!! Also while I was out today-Lucas removed one of the lasts shelves in the babys room & put a shelf up in the laundry room!! The babys room is finally coming together! I can't believe how close we are getting. Only 9 1/2 more weeks to go :) :) :)

Sad Week

This week did not start of well.. I'm hoping it will get better!

When my brother (TJ) works, he literally has to go out of town, So we usually "babysit" his dog, Sampson. Delilah & Sampson get along really well-they are like brother & sister! About the same age, the play rough & they just know each others limits. Sampson is really laid back, Delilah is just crazy. Since it's been nice out, we've been turning the air off & opening the windows. Delilah is an "outside" dog, but when the windows are open & she can hear/see whats going on inside, she wants to come in-NOT HAPPENING :)! I was tired of hearing her whine, and decided when TJ went out of town, Lucas & I would go pick him up and bring him to the house-that way the dogs can run & play.

Sunday was a very lazy day here at the house. It's FOOTBALL time, which means-we sit & watch football ALL day--LOVE it :) :) <--So does the baby :) Baby was moving & grooving more then usual on Sunday, it was awesome! After a football game, we decided to go on out West & pick up Sampson. Sampson wasn't there. Now, a little back story on Sampson-he is a magician. He hides anywhere & everywhere. He doesn't make a noise. He doesn't bark that much either. When Lucas and I get to TJs, No one was there to greet us at the door-So, he must be in the backyard, or in his crate in the basement. Nope & Nope. I notice when I step out onto the deck, there is a hole in the fence. You've got to be kidding me! That fart, ran away!!!! In a panic, I call my mom, then I call TJ. Lucas went into the woods, I drove around the subd, GMa came & stayed the night-Just in case he came home. Nothing. :( We were all hoping he ran away, someone picked him up & took him to the shelter and/or they were going to wait until that morning to take him to the Shelter.

Meridith, GMa & I went to the Shelter on Monday-and it was terrible. There were so many missing dogs, and it smelled so bad in there-It was just bad. No sign of Sampson. I made signs, posted things on Facebook & Craigslist & still nothing.

It breaks my heart. I know TJ loves Sampson. Lucas loves Sampson. I love Sampson. Delilah loves Sampson. WE ALL LOVE SAMPSON! I just wish someone would call and let me know if they saw him, or if they knew someone "stole" him... ANYTHING to put my mind at ease. I hate knowing when TJ comes home on Friday, he is coming home to an empty house... Delilah has lost her bestfriend :(

Also.... Meridiths new Kitty... What a mess! She is SO cute!! But, she is VERY sick! I can't believe the shelter gave my sister a SICK kitty! :( She keeps throwing up. The medicine the vet gave her is not working. I just can't believe it!! Meridith has spent almost a car payment on this Kitty. I feel so bad for her. :(

On a happier note.. My friend, Brooke, had her BEAUTIFUL baby girl :) Her name is Mikah Adalynn G. 8lb & 22 inches long!! I was so excited to see her on Tuesday!!! You can tell Matt is a very proud Daddy :) Brooke had Charlee & Mikah at the same hospital we are going to have our baby at (St Marys-Downtown). So, it was nice to go & see what we have in store for us in 15 weeks ;) Lucas got to come with me this time. When we got there, We got to see Big Sister Charlee in the parking lot, she was going to her Grandma & Grandpas for the night. She is such a ham! LOVE her!!! On our way up, I started to get nervous-Lucas, not so much, he was excited!! When we got into the room, Brooke looked good (as always!) and Mikah was sleeping, like a baby ;) Haha... I got to hold her, It scared me to death! I handed her off to Lucas & he's face lit up! It was so neat watching him hold her. Matt was telling Lucas about the Baby & the C-Section, showing him Mikahs belly button, ect. Me, I was overwhelmed. I was worried I was going to drop this bundle of joy. My nerves, got the best of me. I was getting hot. It was crazy. But, I was glad Lucas was there & got to see & hold a newborn :)

Rough..Week...

Everyone has a rough day.. hour.. whatever.. this just happens to be a rough week. It happens, right? :) Trying not to stress over it--Not good for the baby.

Not a whole lot to report. Baby Shower in NC is next week!! I can't wait to see everyone!!! :) I'm hoping to get a picture with everyone to put in a baby book I am going to make myself-- I plan on using something on Shutterfly.com !!!

How big is baby?- the size of a papaya!! (be this size for like 3 wks.. booo!!!)

Total weight loss/gain- as of my last drs appt (last week) I have gained a total of 6 lbs. Now, I don't know if that is my "starting" weight of my pregnancy or my "regular" weight.

Maternity Clothes-Yup, wearing maternity jeans. My medium tops are becoming a tad short. haha..

Sleep-Kinda.. Im either hot or cold.. Having dreams.. or just waking up @430am.. Hmm..

Movement- YES! I felt him/her from the outside on Monday :) It was awesome!!!!!! I can't wait for Lucas to feel it!!!

Blaaah

Herrrooow!! Made it to 17wks & it's raining out! YaYaYaYa!!! We really needed this rain. Although, Now Lucas is going to have to mow, AGAIN! Eeek! ;) I really don't miss mowing, but-I do like to help him when I can.

Not a whole lot going on this week. Just trying to beat the heat!--I don't know how Lucas does it, he works outside, 8-10hrs a day.. sometimes, 12 hours a day. I'm like the annoying fly, always around your head-bc I always ask him if he has enough water. I can't have him passing out on me!! :) FINALLY went to the Pool yesterday w/my sister & Robin. I missed it.. soo much! It was def what the Dr ordered!! :) I got a little bit of color, I actually ate my entire lunch.. It was a BIG day for me. Hahahaha... I was looking forward to going to the pool again today, but (as I said earlier) it's raining.

After the pool/lunch yesterday, I came home & took a nap (it was amazing)!! When I woke up, i wasn't feeling too well. I went & got Lucas and I some dinner--that still didn't help. It's like im extremley ansey/anxious. I didn't go to bed until 2am this morning, I woke up at 830.. I just ate some Mac N Cheese (Y U M) and I'm still hot and blah feeling. Hopefully it'll go away before I have to work on Saturday. Who wants to work a 12hr shift feeling like crap? NOBODY!!!

Lucas and I didn't get around to Target this weekend to do our Registry there. But, I did get him to take me to Home Depot & get this little bench thingy for the babies room. Its so stinkin cute! Needless to say, building it was a...blast.. but, it got done & it looks great :)

Total weight gain/loss: As of the last Drs appt I gained +2lbs.. but I'm still -2 from my begining weight.

Maternity Clothes: Naaaah! Im wearing my yoga pants & my medium tops :) I'm totally okay with that!!

Sleep: Didn't get much of it lastnight.. Hopefully tonight will be a different story!!

I can't wait for our Drs appt in 2wks.. Im ready to hear a heart beat again! I think once I start to feel the baby move, I'll be okay with having a Drs appt every 4wks. Usually about week 2 & 3 Im ready to go & hear that everything is okay!!

I know most of y'all are my friend(s) on Facebook.. But, I had to share this with y'all. I found this picture on etsy.com. --It's where people make homemade crafts & things like that. Well, I was reading a blog on thebump.com & someone had posted this picture of a baby in a reindeer hat. It's freaking adorable! I posted it on Chantenas FB--and she seemed to like it too! So, looks like I'll be buying the hat (which I am totally okay with!)!!! It's just too cute not to buy. & Chantena does a great job on pictures anyways, So-her pictures are going to be like 100x's better then this ;)

Speaking of, I haven't got my wedding pictures back. I am so impatient anymore. I keep harrassing Chantena about 'em--I feel bad for her!! Hopefully we'll be able to see the proofs by the end of the week/the begining of next week!!!

Here's the newest bump. Seems smaller then lastweek. I guess that happens depending on where the baby is.. :)

She mainly deals with babies, toddlers, families, ect--So I was VERY thankful I got her for our engagement pictures & wedding day!! She is also going to do our babies pictures!!! YIPPEE!! Chantena has been supper busy-which I understand. She said our pictures should be done by the 20th! I can't wait!! I also have to thank my friend Brooke for introducing her to us!! Now on to the baybeee ;) 15wks & 1 day today! Lucas was able to come with me to this appt! It seems like it takes longer to park then being in that office! We go in, I pee in a cup, I then get weighed (gaind 2lbs!) give Dr M. my list of questions, he answers them, puts the doppler thingy on my belly & WHAM--theres the heart beat!!! We sit & talk for about 30 seconds and then we are off!! I asked Dr M about paint, he said it was okay to paint, I can spray tan :) & the babys heartbeat was 150! Which, according to some people-If its a LOW heartbeat it's a boy, if its a HIGH heartbeat it's a girl!! Dr M didn't seem concerned about anything, just said, See ya in 4wks! :)

Next appt we will be 19wks. So, we wont be able to find out the sex then-but Dr M said we will have to do an ultra sound sometime soon after that ro make sure everything is okay :). Lucas & I are wanting to do an 'elective' 3d/4d ultra sound. We are going to wait & see how much they cost at Dr. M's office--If its too much, they also offer them at one of the other Womens Pavilion (not far from work/Dr M's office). So we may go there. But, it wont be til' the end of Sept/begining of Oct for that. And we will be inviting all of out immediate family to that one :)

We had a good time last weekend in NC! We really enjoy going to Shanes house for the 4th & seeing everyone. Mama T & Mike grilled out for us on Sunday-It was very good :) Then we left on Monday bc we both had to work on Tuesday!!

I am glad to report my hair is FINALLY growing!! Those prenatal vitamins are finally working :) Ya Ya Yaaa!!

The girls at work & I have been measuring my belly every week. They get a kick out of it, I freak out. Its fun.. Hahaha :) As of Wednesday, from belly-button to belly-button, I am 37inches. thaaats A LOT for me. Still dealing with this image thing. But, its getting better!!!

My grandma is in town this week-she is watching my Uncle & (soon to be) Aunts house/dog while they are out of town. THEN my mom and dad are coming to town again NEXT week!! YAY!! :) :) :)

-I've done some 'changing' on the blog.. I just don't understand why it double-spaces everything. It's very annoying. Im still learning though :)

Spoiled.. Already!!!

Well.. As if Baby F isn't already spoiled with lots of love.. Lucas' boss Robert is getting ready for a garage sale. He has 2 young kids of his own & guess what he was getting rid of? Baby Stuff-a good portion of it too!! -Yaay for us! Saves us some money$$ !!!!!

A swing, a Pack N Play (w/a changing table!) & a Bumbo!!! We got really lucky!! & Robert is going to be bringing some clothes by--so we can go thru those :) Now we have to go thru Delilahs room & clean it up. That's going to be a LONG weekend project. Lucas bought these little booties from Harley a couple of weekends ago.. they are so cute!! & (of course) we weren't sure what color to get, so we stuck to the white ;) I am now 11wks & 6days today! I was going to try & update every 'new' week w/the pregnancy--Well, I work every other Thursday.. So that just wont work out!! But thats okay.. Here is a picture I took lastnight before we went out to dinnfer-Its mostly bloat--but, its there--no doubt about it! Haha..Hopefully Lucas doesn't read this blog.. he will have a fit bc none of the rooms in these pictures are cleaned---Oops, My bad ;)

I am soo ready for July.. We are going to NC the the 4th of July.. then when we come back, I have another Dr's appt!! Yippeee!!!!
